The stone that remained, after giving shape to Syamsundara jiu , was used to carve out two more enchanting deities – sri Nandadulal jiu who was installed at swamibon (present saibon) and Vallavaji who was installed at Vallavapura (present serampore).

The abovementioned verse reveals that Sri Nanda dulal jiu was fashioned from the same stone (sila) which was brought by Sri Birchandra Prabhu from the nawab’s palace in Malda. The other two enchanting deities that were carved out from the same stone being Sri Radha Syamasundara jiu, who presently resides at Khardaha and Sri RadhaVallav jiu, who is installed at Serampore (Hooghly, West bengal). According to the hearsay,the great devotee Sri Madhu Pandita, who also hailed from Saibon, used to worship our beloved Radha Nandadulal jiu ,before he shifted to Vrindavana.Sri Madhu Pandita and Paramananda Bhattacharya, were later instrumental in discovering the deity of Gopinatha jiu in Vrindavana. The deity of Gopinatha jiu which had been originally installed five thousand years ago by Lord Krishna’s great grandson Vajranabha, and which was lost in the due course of time, was rediscovered in the holy land of Vrindavana few hundred years ago by these two stalwarts. This has been confirmed in Bhakti Ratnakara as well.

The temple here at Saibon, is very well maintained with a beautiful garden adorning its entrance.The seva-puja of Sri Nandadulal jiu is at present being conducted by the disciples of Srila Omkarnath. Grand Krishna Conscious festivals are conducted here at Saibon. Every year on the day of the Magh Purnima (the full moon day in the month of January-February) , thousands of Gaudiya Vaishnava devotees congregate here at Saibon and pay their obeisances to Sri Radha Nandadulal to commemorate the installation of the deity 500 years back.’The Gaudiya Treasures of Bengal’ considers itself very lucky to have taken darsana of Radha-Nandadulal jiu and to have smeared our sinful bodies with the dust of this sacred place.

How to Reach
After reaching Khardaha (by train from sealdah station), we booked an autorickshaw to take us to Saibon. One can also avail buses from Khardaha to reach this place.
The place is very near to Khardaha and one may take a ride in bus/autorickshaw to reach here. Saibon is the birthplace of the great Madhu Pandita Goswami and it is widely believed that he himself used to worship and serve Sri NandaDulal jiu. The people here are very simple and cooperative. ‘The Gaudiya Treasures of Bengal’ has been greatly fortunate to associate with such humble devotees, who were more than happy to distribute the mercy of their beloved NandaDulal jiu ,to the fallen souls like us. We expected nothing less from the devotees who boast of such a rich spiritual lineage.
Accommodation – As Saibon is not even an hour’s ride from kolkata, it is recommended that one stay in Kolkata and then travel to take darsana of this exalted site. One can choose to stay at any of the hotels (there are many) in Kolkata. The devotees are advised to contact the authorities of Sri Nandadulal jiu temple in Saibon to avail their prasadam.
